Dedicated to the memory of Phil

Phil was a wonderful and much loved person, very sociable, always available to help others and always positive.

Born in Birmingham, school effectively finished at the outbreak of WW2, with a mixture of evacuation, returning home in time to build an air raid shelter in the garden which was heavily used and later served in a Home Guard Anti Aircraft battery, all before his 18th birthday.

After his National Service in the RAF Regiment in Palestine he returned home to Birmingham where he met and married his Liverpool Lass Frances, going on to have six children and providing a real family home, not much money to go round but rich in the most important way.

A lifelong Birmingham City supporter he has always been a central figure in a large extended family and at 95 he deserves all of the love he has received.

The support Phil received from both Marie Curie and Torbay Hospice nurses was wonderful and really appreciated by his family who were with 'dad' all the way. Your support for these charities is appreciated.

With love to Phil 'dad' from his family and friends.
